Welcome to Nakupenda!

We are a young project that mixes permaculture farming with community living. In our place, we grow together by sharing knowledge and experience with each other. We respect nature and all living beings, and are on our way to a self-sufficient lifestyle. You are welcome to join us in this beautiful adventure! Here's how you can do that:

Volunteer

Are you travelling to Cambodia and want to help us on the field? We would be very happy to have you with us and receive your ideas to develop the project.

Crowdfunding

Do you want to help us invest in some machines / tools that we need to be more efficient? We will soon release our first crowdfunding campaign, so keep your eyes open for that!

Programs & workshops

Ever wondered how to grow your own mushrooms? Or felt the need to reconnect with your creative self? Come learn and practice on our farm, guided by our team.

Hi! I’m Keizo the gecko.

If you come to Nakupenda and sleep in the Toké House – named after me – you might have the chance to hear my calls during the night. An experience you will never forget!

The farm is really big and holds a large variety of plants and animals. I think you would love to explore it as much as I do, it’s a paradise for nature lovers. Go check it out!

What people say

The best way to know more about Nakupenda is to hear from people who spent time with us:

Volunteers

"We had a wonderful time in Nakupenda with Singyi, Sinya, Denis, Diego and all the other volunteers. We did a lot of different activities such as gardenning, picking the cashew, building eco houses, artistic work, cooking, ... The relaxed and family atmosphere makes of Nakupenda a place where life is good, two weeks there were definitly too short."

"Not even a single day passed without learning something, tasting something new, feeling free to express yourself, smiling, laughing. You will be always deep into my heart. I learnt so much every day, about fruits, vegetables, how to make a gap with an axe, nailing, building, ecology, but even more about myself."

Volunteers

"Our time at Nakupenda farm was great: we lived a collective life's model and we felt part of Denis and Singyi's family. We participated in the earth bricks' preparation, gardening, cashew harvesting, food preparation, leisure time, group integration and artistic expression. A great opportunity to learn about sustainability."
